2007 Ohio State Buckeyes Season Preview - Bucke...
T-Mac, I usually focus on handicapping games that I have a good read on. To give Scores on games like Oregon St vs Eastern Washington?… I dont fugken know. The only ‘toss-up’ game I see week 1 in the XII is Toledo … 2008 Ohio State Buckeyes Preview - BuckeyePlanet Ohio State Forums Before looking forward to this season, a recap of 2007 is in order. The Buckeyes moved up to the #1 ranking in mid-October, by achieving a 7-0 start while the rest of the preseason top-10 sufferered at least one loss. … A

( dropped M, both of them), FL QB Christian Green (dropped M), SC RB Marcus Lattimore ( dropped M), GA RB Mack Brown. Added GA CB Darius Robinson ($), GA DE Henry Anderson ($), VA DT Evan Hailes, GA LB Tyrone Cornelius, GA DE TJ Stripling. Helmholdt talks pre-BBQ. This appears to be a HS coach of FL CB Tony Grimes. I'm not adding PA S Chad Hagan because he will commit to OSU soon so what's the point? Various links from Varsity Blue. Editorial Opinion: Recruiting board lives here. Wow. That is a ton of stuff. A lot of it is n

Better Know A Buckeye: Duron Carter
treats everyone like family. As the months progressed, all news seemed to focus on Ohio State as the school to beat. He made plans to come up to Columbus with his family for the Senior Elite Camp on June 20. A few weeks earlier, a BuckeyePlanet poster claimed to have met Duron’s grandma and came back with some good news. Met Duron’s grandma yesterday (Cris’ mom) and she said that Duron is 100% Buckeye and will be committing before the season starts. She was extremely kind and when I asked her if he was sure he wanted to come all the way up to

Happy Trails LA S Ronnie Vinson is down to a top five that doesn't include M and has gotten the axe; he was a longshot in any case. New Persons

at was taken from his father. Better yet, he gave the mugger a thrashing that opened the eyes of the other recruits on the visit. Since the Spring Game is typically populated with recruits who are either strongly considering Ohio State, or have already committed, the other kids there became enamoured with the prospect of what a 6′8 260lb kid who just gave a criminal a beating of a lifetime could accomplish on the field for the Scarlet and Gray. That’ll build camaraderie instantly. I don’t care what measure you use, but going from 0 to stomping a

An Interview With Ken Wilkins
PA LB/DE Ken Wilkins is a new offer of Michigan's radar from Washington Trinity, the same school that sent Andrew Sweat to Ohio State and Mike Yancich to Penn State. Wilkins' coach says he's more physically gifted than either, or just about anyone else: "The sky is the limit for him. He's one of the most phenomenal, naturally gifted athletes I've ever been around. He was born with gifts that a lot of people couldn't imagine having." Wilkins is strongly considering

Thursday’s Grab Bag
It also left a profound impact on Joyner’s uncle, who accompanied him on the trip (along with ND target Cody Riggs and Buckeye commit Duron Carter). Joyner’s uncle, who posts at BuckeyePlanet under the username genron187, had this to share about Jim Tressel. Coach Tressel is a great man and a great coach. To describe him is hard because he’s more than a football guy, he knows football. He’s more than a coach, he can coach. More than a teacher, he can teach. More than a leader, he can

te commitment. Lamarcus Joyner is the most important name in attendance. He’s certainly interested in the Buckeyes, but it’d be unreasonable to expect a Spring Game commitment from Joyner. Nick Montana may or may not be in attendance. BuckeyePlanet has a list of important visitors for this game. Jake Ballard and Jake Stoneburner are on the same team as Terrelle Pryor. Both, especially Stoney, have had great springs so far. Watch what happens accordingly. Ken, loyal reader from western New York, will be posting

eyes had in pads that year. The remarks — as always — were positive. He wasn’t done taking visits to Ohio State, either. In fact, the late March visit seemed to be enough to make an important decision for Melvin by this time in his recruitment: he was going to attend Ohio State’s spring game, and not Illinois’ spring game held the same day. He had assumed earlier that he would go to Champaign that weekend instead of Columbus. Melvin genuinely enjoyed his visit to the Spring Game, though the comments didn’t seem to
